The contract foresees the implementation of a baseline study for the National Quality Infrastructure Development Project. It focuses on three selected value chain industries in Ethiopia (textile & garment, leather & leather products and agro processing) as well as on the four government owned National Quality Infrastructure Institutions and on all active private NQI service providers.
The assignment involves a thorough data collection to be implemented through the CAPI methodology on a sample of firms in the selected industries, several in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions. IZI will also implement an analysis on the qualitative and quantitative data generated though the data collection and from secondary data sources, with the final aim to assess the project at baseline and provide a starting point for understanding what changes occur, how scenarios are developing over time and especially if the project’s aims are ultimately achieved.
