We are glad to inform that IZI obtained a new challenging assignment in Iran, aiming to support the development of the Fishermen Associations in the area of Chabahar, in the south-east of the country. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) offered the opportunity to participate to this important project for the future of Iran. In fact, the goal of the project is to deepen the knowledge of the best practices of the main international fishery associations, with a special focus on the Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), in order to increase employment opportunities for youth, and to provide useful information to promote sustainable and inclusive development of the national fishery industry.

IZI spa will make available its experience in the fishery sector to carry out the assignment, that will foresee a final Workshop, open to all fishermen associations of Iran, to share the findings of the whole study.
