Without the Azzurri to compete in the World Cup in Qatar, Italians will be rooting for Argentina. That’s what the poll data conducted a few hours before the start of the World Cup on Nov. 20 tells us: Lionel Messi’s team garners 22.4 percent, the first among all the competing teams, and clearly detaches all the others.
Second is Spain with 14.7 percent and third is Brazil, among the favorites, with 8 percent. Far behind are the others: England, Portugal, France, and then all the others.
What is this due to? The article in La Gazzetta dello Sport explains it, reporting our survey, the reasons and also our own social listening analysis, also on the World Cup.
