Published in il Giornale and Repubblica, the survey shows that it is not just a desire for national service: almost half of Italians also want there to be a choice of civilian service, they want the conscription to be open to women as well, but above all they want it to be an opportunity for professional and personal training, for months well spent training skills. A period, however, that must not replace work or study.
