IZI is pleased to announce the start of a new evaluation in Pakistan. There, we will spend five months analysing the results of the ‘Poverty Alleviation through Rural Development Programme’ promoted by the Italian Cooperation. The overall objective of the programme is to reduce poverty in the regions bordering Afghanistan, which are among those most affected by degradation and unemployment. To do this, the focus is on sustainable economic and social development through the improvement of livelihoods, the construction and modernisation of small-scale community infrastructure and the establishment of basic health and education services.
The evaluation will also provide useful insights to guide future development cooperation strategies.
