The activity, in its second survey, consists of a survey on natural wine in Lazio aimed at getting to know the producers driving the phenomenon and, at the same time, studying the levers to be activated for further development in the sector.

The objectives described were pursued through two instruments

• focus groups with institutional stakeholders and stakeholders in the distribution chain;
• a statistical survey among producers that updates and broadens the current level of knowledge of the sector. This survey was carried out by means of qualitative-quantitative interviews, i.e. interviews that, in addition to gathering structural and economic data on the companies producing natural wines, aimed at collecting outline information aimed at understanding the criticalities and development opportunities of the sector..

The activity in brief involved

• construction of the survey grids: sector experts, producers, oenologists, agronomists and statisticians were involved for this purpose; the final questionnaire was then computerised and ready for administration
  identification of the target respondents: all the natural wine producers in Lazio were identified and contacts were acquired;
  training of surveyors: the questionnaire was administered by experts in the sector who were in any case trained on the subject, the objectives of the survey and the expected results;
  implementation of the fieldwork phase: the interviews were carried out partly at the companies, partly using the CATI method depending on the availability of the interviewees and in consideration of the fact that most of the latter had got to know the team of interviewers last year;
• data processing: once the survey was completed, the data collected, which had already been entered into a coded dataset thanks to the idsurvey software used, was suitably processed;
  drafting of the research report.
