Impact assessment on the two-year experience of the project, which aims to introduce alternative measures to trial detention for children in conflict with the law into the Malaysian justice system, particularly for Sepang, Port Dickson and Seremban.

Objectives:

The evaluation is to offer sound recommendations and options for the next phase of the programme and its possible extension to other areas of the country. To achieve this objective, a highly specialised team of evaluators and thematic consultants with a sound knowledge of the local situation was provided with a mixed-methods approach, and the data collected was systematised into a comprehensive report.
